I built this after talking to school admins who were paying Yondr year after year and still watching students beat the pouches with a magnet they bought online for ten dollars.
The fix was simple: use a mechanical lock instead of magnetic, sell it as a one-time purchase, and add an optional signal-blocking layer for schools that need full isolation.
