Wallux is a native live wallpaper app for Mac, built to give you a Wallpaper Engine-style experience without the CPU and battery drain. Browse 10,000+ animated and video wallpapers, customize each monitor, span wallpapers across displays, and keep your desktop looking alive while your Mac stays fast. I’m actively building Wallux with the community and shipping updates based on user feedback.
Wallux started as a personal project, I just wanted live wallpapers on my Mac without killing my battery unlike many other existing wallpaper apps.
I shared it with a few friends, they liked it, and eventually I put it out for the world. Turns out a lot of Mac users wanted the same thing.
I'm still very hands-on with it. If you have feedback or feature requests, drop them below I actually read and act on them. Especially on discord https://discord.gg/YHB7zC8sZf

Who hunted Wallux?
Wallux was hunted by Wallux. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
