VidBar
Speed, screenshots, notes, filters and focus for any video
VidBar adds a floating toolbar to YouTube, Netflix, Twitch, courses, and HTML5 videos so you can control speed, boost audio, capture frames, restyle captions, take timestamped notes, loop sections, and watch without distractions.
Hey Product Hunt, I'm Mayank, maker of VidBar.
I built VidBar because browser video players are weirdly limited. I kept wanting the same things across YouTube, Netflix, course sites, Twitch, and random HTML5 videos: better speed control, cleaner captions, quick screenshots, notes with timestamps, loops, volume boost, and a way to remove distractions.
VidBar adds a lightweight floating toolbar on top of videos without replacing the original player.
A few things I'd love feedback on:
- Is focus mode useful enough to be the main feature?
- Which workflow feels strongest: learning, creators, accessibility, or casual watching?
- Are there any sites where you'd expect this to work but it doesn't?

Thanks for checking it out. I'll be here all day replying to feedback.
