Ever wish Todoist could just listen while you think out loud? Now it can. Ramble lets you add tasks by speaking. It turns your words into structured tasks, complete with any details you mention, like projects, dates, deadlines, and priorities. Ramble is in beta, which means all Todoist users get early access while we continue to improve it based on feedback. We’ll introduce a monthly limit for Free plans soon, but until then, use it, break it, tell us what you love (and what you don’t).
Hey hunters! We're giddy to share Ramble with the community.
Ramble is a new Todoist feature to capture tasks by speaking. It turns your words into neat tasks with a live interface. Just start a Ramble session, share what you need to do, edit live by saying a project, labels, date/deadline/duration, priority level, and say "that's all". Simple yet powerful.
Todoist was already recognized as the fast way to capture tasks from wherever you are with Quick Add. Now with Ramble, we're adding voice to the mix, making task input truly "at the speed of thought".
To me it's also a great example of AI done right. It's invisible, truly helpful, supporting 40+ languages, and just a bit magical. It's using the Gemini 2.5 Flash Live model under-the-hood.
I'm using it to capture anything from groceries to work tasks I think about on the go. It's become my favorite lock screen widget.
Early testers have coined it a game-changing feature, but I'll let you try it out and tell me how it feels!
Fun fact: Back in 2015, I did my master thesis on habit-forming apps and Product Hunt was the case study. The community helped a bunch, and it's how I crossed path with @enricenrich who worked at Doist and got me to check the careers page. It's been 10 years now. Thank you Product Hunt!
Cool! I still use reminders in the standard iPhone app)
By the way, an idea for you to develop: people often ignore reminders out of laziness. You could add AI motivation, taking psychology into account. This could be an optional feature that users can activate if they want.
Congrats on the launch! Invisible AI + real utility is the perfect combo. Does Ramble adapt to individual phrasing patterns over time?
Having the ability to TELL Todoist ALL of the things I need to get out of my head is a game changer. Thank you for giving us Ramble! Love the name, btw... 😁
I love the idea! Two questions: 1. can it integrate with Siri? E.g. I want to be able to capture notes while driving, and my car sends my voice instructions through Siri. 2. I assume this is only available in the paid plan?
Not me downloading Todoist again for the 100024 billionth time. This is awesome though, exactly how I'd imagine my ideal world of word vomit to actual actionables. Great job team.
ALSO WOW - what a fun fact. I love that. What's been the most surprising bit about your 10 year journey @hfauq?
I could see how our tool and Todoist could work together to keep my launch workflows organized & moving smoothly, so I’ll definitely take a closer look at their launch.
i've been a fan of todoist for years - pro user since 2014 I think! have used ramble a bit but what I'd love to call out and appreciate is how well the legacy users are taken care of when it comes to pricing changes and such. Love the product and just how reliable it has been as well as the new features that the team is shipping. Kudos!
Use it, break it - the challenge is accepted 😅I was looking for a similar solution, so let's do it!
Voice is definitely the fastest way to capture ideas - really love this update!
Super cool! Does Ramble handle more complex task structures, like nested subtasks or multi-step reminders?
Very useful tool. I’m curious, or maybe I’m missing something you already have. Is there any way for me to view my previously pending tasks that I added but couldn’t complete?
One of the most peaceful dashboards I have ever seen. :)
I noticed that I can connect my calendar.
Is there also a possibility to send a task reminder to my Gmail mailbox? :)
