Ramble by Todoist

Capture tasks by speaking, wherever you use Todoist

Ever wish Todoist could just listen while you think out loud? Now it can. Ramble lets you add tasks by speaking. It turns your words into structured tasks, complete with any details you mention, like projects, dates, deadlines, and priorities. Ramble is in beta, which means all Todoist users get early access while we continue to improve it based on feedback. We’ll introduce a monthly limit for Free plans soon, but until then, use it, break it, tell us what you love (and what you don’t).

Hey hunters! We're giddy to share Ramble with the community.

Ramble is a new Todoist feature to capture tasks by speaking. It turns your words into neat tasks with a live interface. Just start a Ramble session, share what you need to do, edit live by saying a project, labels, date/deadline/duration, priority level, and say "that's all". Simple yet powerful.

Todoist was already recognized as the fast way to capture tasks from wherever you are with Quick Add. Now with Ramble, we're adding voice to the mix, making task input truly "at the speed of thought".

To me it's also a great example of AI done right. It's invisible, truly helpful, supporting 40+ languages, and just a bit magical. It's using the Gemini 2.5 Flash Live model under-the-hood.

I'm using it to capture anything from groceries to work tasks I think about on the go. It's become my favorite lock screen widget.

Early testers have coined it a game-changing feature, but I'll let you try it out and tell me how it feels!

Fun fact: Back in 2015, I did my master thesis on habit-forming apps and Product Hunt was the case study. The community helped a bunch, and it's how I crossed path with @enricenrich who worked at Doist and got me to check the careers page. It's been 10 years now. Thank you Product Hunt!
