TagVitals
Free GA4 & GTM audit from a URL. No OAuth. No paywall.
Most GA4/GTM audit tools want Google OAuth to read your property from the inside, or hand you a static checklist. TagVitals asks for neither. Paste a URL, wait 30 seconds. It scrapes the rendered page and the public gtm.js container, parses it without regex, then checks consent mode, dual tagging, dataLayer order and conversions. The score comes from code, not the AI - Gemini only writes the fix steps. Free, no account, full PDF export. Built by a data analyst auditing client sites daily.
Hey, maker here.
I'm a data analyst - checking whether a company's GA4/GTM setup can be trusted is a big part of my job. Doing it properly means digging through page source and the GTM container by hand: consent mode order, duplicate configs, legacy tags nobody removed. An hour or two per site.
TagVitals does it in 30 seconds from a URL, no login, no OAuth. It downloads the public gtm.js container and parses it with a brace-matching parser instead of regex, because that file has no documented format. Deterministic checks run straight on the HTML: consent mode, dual tagging, dataLayer order. The AI only writes the fix steps - the score comes from code against verified evidence, because temperature-0 Gemini is not deterministic, and a tool that scores 78 today and 84 tomorrow is not an audit.
Best proof it works: it caught a real conversion-tracking bug on my own site before I shipped this.
Would love to hear what it says about yours, and what it gets wrong.

Who hunted TagVitals?
TagVitals was hunted by Paweł Nowak. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
