Top comment

Hi everyone 👋 I'm Pranesh, the creator of StartupWiki. StartupWiki started from a simple frustration: startup research tools have become increasingly expensive and inaccessible for students, founders, investors, and curious builders. I wanted to see whether AI could help build and maintain a startup database at a scale that would normally require a large team. Today StartupWiki contains thousands of startup profiles and continues to grow. I'd love feedback on: What information do you wish startup databases exposed? What's your biggest frustration with Crunchbase and similar tools? What should I build next? I'll be around all day answering every question and collecting feedback. Thanks for checking it out!

Who hunted StartupWiki?

StartupWiki was hunted by Pranesh Shivaraj. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
