SpanTime is a desktop time tracker for freelancers and small studios. Track billable hours per client and project, set rates and budgets, and export PDF or CSV timesheets. No account, no cloud, works offline. 25 languages. Free 15-day trial, then buy it once.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Andreas. I run Stoeffel-Media, a small web and design studio in Sydney.
For years I tracked my hours in subscription tools. Every month another charge, and my client data sat on someone else's server. So I built a time tracker for my own work. That became SpanTime.
It's for freelancers, consultants and small studios who bill by the hour.
What it does:
- Start a timer from the menu bar or system tray, or add time by hand
- Billable rates per client, budgets and milestone alerts
- PDF and CSV timesheets for your invoices
- Week view, charts and a summary per client
- Light and dark theme, 25 languages
What it doesn't do: no account, no cloud, no watching what you do on your computer. Your entries stay on your computer. If you want them on a second computer, Folder Sync uses your own iCloud or Dropbox folder.
It's on the Mac App Store and the Microsoft Store. Free for 15 days, then you buy it once. No subscription.
The feedback that would help me most: what's missing for the way you bill your clients? And is anything in the timer or the reports confusing on first use? I'm here all day to answer questions.
