I built Scam Number Checker after watching too many friends and family members get scammed by phone calls — fake IRS agents, "your account is locked" texts, robocalls pushing fake debt collection.
The frustrating part: this data already exists. The FTC publishes daily complaint records. Public databases track reported numbers. But none of it is in one place that's actually fast and free to search.
So I pulled it all together. The site lets you check any phone number against 74,000+ FTC complaints and growing community reports — instantly, no signup, no paywall.
