I built Scam Number Checker after watching too many friends and family members get scammed by phone calls — fake IRS agents, "your account is locked" texts, robocalls pushing fake debt collection.
The frustrating part: this data already exists. The FTC publishes daily complaint records. Public databases track reported numbers. But none of it is in one place that's actually fast and free to search.
