SafeSpend gives freelancers one honest number: what you can actually spend today, after tax, bills, and a safety floor. No account, no bank login, no cloud, no subscription. Enter four numbers and your ledger works: cash on hand, a floor you never spend below, a tax set-aside, and your currency. Every invoice and bill shapes your daily number, so a big month never tricks you into a broke one. Your data never leaves your device and it works offline. One-time purchase, yours for good.

Hey everyone, maker here. I have freelanced long enough to know the emotional rollercoaster: a big invoice lands and suddenly you feel rich, then tax season and the quiet months arrive and you realize you were never rich, you were just early. Every budgeting tool I tried assumed a steady paycheck, wanted my bank login, and billed me monthly for the privilege. None of them answered the only question I actually had on a Tuesday morning: how much can I spend today without eating next month? So I built SafeSpend around that one number. Four inputs to start (cash on hand, a floor you never spend below, a tax set-aside, your currency), then every invoice and bill reshapes your daily safe-to-spend. There is also a "can I afford this" box, because the real question was never "how much did I earn" but "can I buy this used MacBook and still be okay in March." A few things I refused to compromise on while building: no account, no cloud, no bank connection. Your numbers live in your browser and the app works offline. It is also free to try before buying: on the unlock screen, tap "Open the sample copy" and you get a fake ledger with fake invoices, fake bills, and real math. No signup, no email, no card. If it clicks, a one-time payment turns it into your real ledger. No subscription, ever. but the numbers in sample copy reset at every refresh I would love your feedback, especially on onboarding: can you get your first real number in under a minute?
