To ease my usage limit anxiety on Codex, I built a service that watches X, then texts you when a reset is announced and again when it's available. The goal is to burn remaining usage before it resets.
How to get alerts (both are free):
US or Canadian number: text START to (239) 420-6900 (or subscribe at ResetAlerts.com)
I also built a few pages to gather deeper data on resets - full history, on-time percentage, and more.
The Reset Almanac: logs every announcement. Codex has reset about 2.4 times a week since July, and 25 of 33 resets with an ETA arrived on time.
The 28-Day Challenge Calendar Tracker: OpenAI's ongoing reset challenge - currently, we're on day 23 of 28 of the challenge, with 11 resets and 24 improvements so far.
I'm open to any feedback on Reset Alerts - what features to add, things to improve, or anything.
Watching X for the reset is the part I recognize — I've missed the window by checking too late. The two-text approach makes sense to me: one when it's announced so I can plan around it, and one when it's actually available so I'm not refreshing. I'm curious how you handle a false or delayed announcement on X, since that second text is the one I'd trust.
Nice. I keep having to check X for this, and I miss it a lot. Also surprising how consistent the timing is.

Who hunted Reset Alerts?
Reset Alerts was hunted by Sam Feldman. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. See the full all-time top hunters leaderboard to discover who is shaping the Product Hunt ecosystem.
