Quik Share is a private, open-source AirDrop alternative for the web. Transfer files, text, screenshots, camera and screen between devices using your browser. No account, no installation, no cloud upload. WebRTC enables direct transfers when possible, with encrypted relay fallback when needed.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built Quik Share because moving a file from my phone to my computer shouldn't require an account, an app, or uploading the file to someone else's cloud.
So I built a simple alternative: open it on two devices, scan a QR code, and share.
Under the hood, Quik Share uses WebRTC for direct peer-to-peer transfers when possible, with an encrypted relay fallback when a direct connection isn't available.
It also supports notes, clipboard screenshots, camera and screen sharing.
🔐 No account
📦 No cloud storage
🌐 Works in the browser
🧑💻 Open source
🐳 Self-hostable
I'd really love feedback on the UX, security model, and the features you'd actually use.
