Hello! I became enamored with the idea of how to use technology to help people find their pets that go missing. After all, pets are animals and their behavior can be random. Sure, there are tracking collars and other systems like identification chips, but those can either be expensive, run out of battery, or don't actually actively track where your pet is at any given moment. The common denominator is social media—nearly everyone is on social media. So I created Puppy Platoon to allow any pet owner to create hyperlocal Facebook and Instagram ads that target a small radius of where the pet was last seen to drive awareness. Pet owners can get thousands of eyeballs on their lost pet by doing this. You can also get a free lost pet poster, a listing for their pet on our Lost Pet Directory, and free "regular" social media posts on the Puppy Platoon socials.

The combination of free printable posters and hyperlocal social media ads is fantastic for finding lost pets. Well done, Ian!
Congrats on the launch! Using social media ads to help find lost pets is such a smart idea.
This is awesome! I can see this being used as a mobile app! Are there plans for any? Also a suggestion: It would be nice to have a statistic on the landing page, like how many pets go missing a year and how many get found etc. Congrats! Love the idea.
Using targeted social media ads to find lost pets is a really clever idea. I'm wondering how you handle the potential for false reports or scams in the Lost Pet Directory? Also, do you have any data on the success rate of pets found through your platform compared to traditional methods? Congrats on the launch, I love the initiative!
