I built ProQuote after watching contractors I know lose jobs because their quoting process was embarrassing — Word docs, PayPal invoices, chasing clients over text.
The existing tools (FreshBooks, QuickBooks) are overkill for a one-person operation and priced accordingly. I wanted something that gets out of your way: create an estimate, send it, get paid.
