It's 11pm before the wedding and the DJ just texted "kal nahi kar paunga," buried under 40 unread messages and three unlogged advances. Niyojan reads your event WhatsApp groups and keeps score. "Sharma photography ka 25k advance" becomes a logged payment. "Priya will send the layout kal" becomes a task with an owner. A vendor backing out jumps to the top, not message 38. Nobody installs an app. Nobody types anything twice. Also runs Ganesh mandal accounts: vargani, expenses, cash and bank.
I've watched the same scene at a dozen events: the WhatsApp group is the operations team. The client, the decorator, the caterer, the DJ, all in one chat. Someone drops "venue layout kal pakka," someone sends a 25k advance, someone's cousin adds 30 guests, and a DJ cancels the night before. By morning it's 200 messages deep and nobody can tell you what was actually agreed.
So people do the ugly thing: one person sits every night and copies it all into a notebook or an Excel sheet. That's the job I wanted to delete.
Niyojan doesn't ask anyone to change. No new app, no "please update the tracker." It reads the group you're already in and pulls out the money, the commitments, and the fires. The advance shows up logged. The promise shows up as a task with a name on it. The cancellation shows up at the top in red.
We built it for wedding and event planners first. Then a Ganesh mandal treasurer showed us his paper vargani register and we realised it was the same problem wearing a different outfit, so that's live too.
