I built this because I kept walking out of dispensaries with strains that didn't do what the label promised, and every "strain finder" app I tried felt like a glorified keyword search. So NextWake asks how you want to feel instead of what strain you think you want, and recommends from a curated database of around 295 strains using actual terpene and cannabinoid data behind each pick, not just "indica vs sativa."
The part I cared about most: the AI runs entirely on your phone. There's no account, no server call for the recommendation itself, and nothing about your questions or history gets sent anywhere. For a category this personal, that felt like it had to be a foundation, not an afterthought.
It's gated by age (21+) and location, since it's only meant for the 23 US states where this is legal. Free two week trial, then $4.99/month.
Would love feedback, especially on whether the recommendations feel accurate and whether the app's personality (a cannabis sommelier persona named Miss Mary Jane) lands well or is too much. Happy to answer anything about how it's built too.
