Which link is at fault? New Health Score answers in one 40-second run: a score from 0 to 100 and a verdict for your Wi-Fi, router and ISP. Plus latency to the servers you actually use, bufferbloat graded A to F, MTR, traceroute, Path MTU, DNS and TLS. 31 tools, no jailbreak. What other network apps don't do: per-country server tables, a verdict that names Wi-Fi, router or ISP, and text, PDF or image export you can hand to support.

Hi Product Hunt — I'm Dmytro, a solo iOS developer, and this is the second launch of NetDiag+.

It started with a support ticket. My calls kept freezing, the speed test said 180 Mbps, and my ISP said "everything looks fine on our side." I had no way to show them it wasn't. The first version was a toolbox — ping, traceroute, MTR, Path MTU, DNS, TLS — built on plain BSD sockets so it works on an iPhone without a jailbreak or a companion app.

What changed since the first launch is the question the app answers. A toolbox tells you numbers; people want to know who is at fault. So this version has Health Score: one run of about 40 seconds loads your line while pinging the router and the internet at the same time, and gives one number from 0 to 100 with a verdict for your Wi-Fi, your router and your ISP. Tap any part of the score to see how the points were earned. Alongside it: a bufferbloat test that names who is queueing your packets, a Latency Dashboard that pings the servers people in your country actually use, and a new VPN Check. Every result exports as text, PDF or an image, because a diagnosis is only useful once you can hand it to someone.

31 tools, 13 languages, results never leave the phone unless you send them. Free, with one optional purchase that removes the ads, and the code PRODUCTHUNT gets it for free, for good (redeem by 31 October).

Happy to answer anything — especially how ICMP works on iOS without entitlements, that part was harder than it should have been.

Who hunted NetDiag+?

NetDiag+ was hunted by Dmytro Tishchenko. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
