We kept throwing out food that got opened and shoved to the back of the
fridge. Half a jar of salsa, some deli meat, stuff opened for one recipe and
never touched again.
Went looking for an app and didn't find one I liked. Grocery list apps stop at
the checkout. Pantry apps want you to inventory your whole kitchen, which
nobody in my house was going to do.
I ended up building my own. It turned into more than groceries pretty fast:
