I built Munra because every journaling app I tried eventually asked me to trust a server with my most private thoughts, or hid the good parts behind a subscription. Munra doesn't do either.
It's fully offline. Entries live in an encrypted SQLite database on your phone, and there's no account, no paywall, no pro tier. Everything is free for everyone.
A few things I'm proud of:
1. Speech-to-text transcribed entirely on device, audio never leaves your phone
2. A daily mood check-in tracked separately from entries, so it never clutters your writing
3. Streaks and word count insights that build the habit without gamifying it into a chore
4. An optional AI writing companion, with prompts, gentle reflections, and a chat that remembers past entries, that only turns on if you bring your own API key
5. Face ID lock, and a genuinely strange feature called Alien Language that scrambles your text with your own cipher

If I switch phones, can I export my encrypted entries to move them over, or am I locked into the original device?
is this app available in androids as well? ( if no then like r u ever planning to launch there or like if yes then when) i read its features and i cant wait to try it out!
Love the offline-first approach and no subscription model, that's refreshing. One thing that would make me use it daily: an export option to Markdown or plain text files saved locally, so I can back up or migrate my entries without being locked in. Maybe even a scheduled auto-export to a folder I pick.
