Top comment

I started MindForger years ago because I wanted a fast, local-first, privacy respecting Markdown IDE that could organize my thoughts as a knowledge graph without eating 4GB of RAM like a Electron apps. I use the project on daily basis, but over time life and work got in the way and the project stalled. I recently took a sabbatical, sat down, and overhauled the codebase to bring the project back to life and catch up on years of the minimal maintenance. Your notes stay plain Markdown files on disk - no proprietary formats. It gives you deep automatic linking, refactoring, associations, fast search, knowledge graph, and outline-based editing while keeping file level control in your hands. I'm actively maintaining it again. So I'd like to get your feedback on performance, UI/UX, and feature gaps. Thank you!
