I'm Yoss, the maker of Karbonized.
It started as a simple tool to make pretty code screenshots. With 2.0 it became something I always wanted: an image editor you can program.
What makes it different:
🧩 HTML blocks – write a component in HTML/CSS, and its annotated CSS variables become controls in the panel. Package it as a .kcomponent and reuse it anywhere.
📝 Templates with {{variables}} – design once, then just change the title, code or date.
🎨 Brand kit – your colors, fonts and logos, available in every picker (and to the AI).
🤖 Agent – a built-in assistant (bring your own key: Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Ollama…) that designs block by block, so everything stays editable.
🔌 MCP server – Claude, Cursor or any MCP client can create and export images for you. It starts in the background when needed, no window required.
It's 100% free and open source, and runs on the web, Windows, macOS and Linux.
