Hoop's Mac app gets your tasks from every meeting platform with no bots required. See all your tasks from meetings, email, and Slack in one spot- automatically. One consolidated list that follows you from email to meeting to Slack channel. Boom!
We had a successful launch last fall and have been hard at work iterating on Hoop - an AI task manager that automatically identifies tasks from meetings, Slack, and email and puts them in one spot. There's no "starring" emails or "marking as unread" necessary: Hoop uses AI to find your tasks across tools and centralizes them so you never miss another task.
For meeting tasks, customers told us a meeting bot felt intrusive and uncomfortable. So we went back to the drawing board and reimagined what the ideal experience should be. Coming out of a meeting, you want to know "What am I on the hook for?" So we built Hoop for Mac - a macOS app that uses local audio to transcribe and identify meeting tasks. It works with all meeting platforms including Zoom, Meet, Teams, Slack Huddles, and even audio notes. It's connected to your calendar, so you'll get a prompt to start Hoop just in time for each meeting. After the meeting, you have all your tasks alongside context, transcripts, and summaries. And there's no meeting bot involved.
The best part is that tasks from meetings live alongside tasks from Slack and email. It truly is the only fully automated, AI driven task manager that makes sure you never miss another task.
Thanks so much for your support! We're excited to see what you think!
Hoop user here - loved this app already but one of my biggest requests was being able to track my slack huddles which are more informal and come up adhoc several times a day with my team. Hoop having the ability to both be a zoom bot (for external transparency) and also record via the desktop app (for adhoc internal meetings) is the perfect solution for my working needs. The mac app remains high quality in terms of task tracking and voice transcription. Really great work Hoop team, kudos on the launch!
So excited to bring our botless desktop app to the world! Really proud of the product we are building here and love to hear feedback from our incredible users.
I've had the issue with awkward bots in zoom, meets, and teams. I will admit to shaming some people for them. Don't hate me. This is a better solution that preserves all of the benefits of transcribing a meeting without the annoying aspect of having NPCs in your meetings. I'm excited to use this with my Hoop account.
It's so exciting to have this out there. A TON of hard work went into this - very proud of this team! 🚀
We built Hoop to automatically find your tasks and add them to a unified list, without you having to click a single button. It works really well, but there's always been one thing that bugs me...
Hoop looks for tasks across email, Slack, and meetings. Until now, meetings required a bot to join calls with you to record any tasks that came up. The bot never felt great to me. It could be awkward or annoying. Sometimes the host wouldn't let it in.
That's no longer a limitation. We've been using it internally for a while now, and it really makes a big difference. More so than I expected. I still get all the peace of mind from knowing that I will never drop a ball again, but none of the awkwardness of a bot. Win win!
We've talked to a ton of users since our initial launch and managing a bot joining your meetings always felt awkward. We're excited to be able to do something about that with this launch and, bonus, by relying on local audio and transcription we can deliver a solution that goes beyond just Google Meet and Zoom. We can capture tasks and insights from all sorts of apps now, basically anything that uses the mic/ system audio from your Mac.
Let us know what you think!
Sounds very nice! I will give it a try in my next meeting. Currently, I use some other tools, but maybe you'll convince me to switch :D
How do you take care for security and GDPR. This looks like an awesome project and in the startup it will be my first go to meeting thing. However, our startup was acquired and now security/ bureaucracy is top priority. If you take care for this I believe the growth can be exponentail.
It's really interesting that meetings, Slack, and emails can be managed in one place! I'm curious about how much more efficient work can be when everything is managed in one spot.Congrats on the launch !🎉
