Hello! 👋
I built Gamelook because I kept returning to games after months (or even years) and facing the same question: what changed while I was away?
The answer was usually scattered across Steam announcements, publisher websites, patch notes, and enormous changelogs. I didn’t need another gaming news feed. I needed a quick way to catch up and decide whether a game was worth returning to.
Gamelook started as a simple patch feed, but evolved into searchable, year-by-year timelines covering patch notes, DLC, balance changes, and major milestones. You can browse more than 400 games without an account, save the ones you care about (with an account), or use the Chrome extension while browsing Steam.
The project is still evolving, and I’d really value your feedback:
- Does the timeline make it easier to understand what you missed?
- Which games or sources should I prioritize next?
- What would make Gamelook useful enough to revisit regularly?
Thanks for taking a look. I’ll be here throughout the launch and would be happy to answer questions about the product or how it was built.

Who hunted Gamelook?
Gamelook was hunted by Alex Florin. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
