It's 11pm and you're merging three guest lists because your co-planner edited the wrong tab. Again. Your Excel file just got overwritten by someone's autosave. Sound familiar? EventForge replaces spreadsheet juggling with one live workspace—guests, budgets, vendors, and deadlines, synced in real time across your team, split cleanly by sub-event. No more duplicate versions. No more "wait, did anyone pay the caterer?" Just one source of truth.
Hey everyone! 👋
I'm a student, and this project started because of a conversation, not a plan.
I attend a lot of MUNs (Model UN conferences), and one day a friend who organizes them was venting to me "no good app existed for handling budgets, vendors, and guest lists together"
Just spreadsheets held together with duct tape and group chats. He was exhausted by the chaos, and honestly, I'd always wanted to build something real. So I figured, why not try to fix this?
I started simple: a budget tracker and a basic guest list. Then I overcorrected — added vendor chat, email integrations, way more than anyone needed. It got bloated fast, so I scaled it back down.
Talking to actual organizers reshaped the product more than any feature idea I had on my own. I added Google Sheets and Forms integrations so people could migrate from what they already use instead of starting from zero.
Then multiple clients mentioned they were running multi-day, multi-event conferences and needed a way to split things into sub-events. So I built that.
Then they wanted teams and sub-teams to divide tasks and manage things collaboratively so that came next too.
Every major feature in EventForge exists because someone described a real annoyance to me, not because I guessed what they'd want.
Would love feedback from anyone who's ever wrangled a guest list across five spreadsheets, that pain is exactly what I'm trying to kill. 🙏
