I built Cuewake because I kept writing things down and still forgetting them.
The problem wasn't the note. It was that when I found it again, I'd forgotten where it belonged.
I'd notice something while designing, remember something while browsing, or realize what I needed to do next in a project. I could put it in Notes or Reminders, but that separated the thought from the place where it actually made sense.
So I started building around a different idea:
What if the place itself could become the reminder?
Cuewake lets you leave a note, checklist, link, or file with what you're working on. Move on, then come back and find the cue waiting there.
It's a native Mac app, local-first, and a one-time purchase with no subscription.
I built Cuewake independently and spent a slightly unreasonable amount of time on the tiny details of leaving something and finding it again.
