Friends and family are among the most precious things we have. But some of us could use an extra nudge to keep in touch. Catchup is a little app to provide that nudge.
Catchup is a simple iPhone app to help you stay in touch with friends and family.
I built Catchup to solve a pain point I've felt for years: I have friends and family living elsewhere whom I care about, yet months go by without us talking. I care deeply about these people… but life is busy. I realized I needed to develop a habit and align my actions with my intentions.
Since releasing Catchup, I've heard from lots of people from all around the world that they experience the same problem - and thankfully, the app has helped them, too.
Catchup works simply: Add friends and family from your contacts list. Set intentions for how often you'd like to connect with them. Then just tap "Check In" every time you do. The app reminds you when it's been longer than you've intended since you connected.
Try out the app with up to 2 contacts for free. Then upgrade for unlimited contacts and access to notifications and a widget.
Congratulations Team Catchup for making it to Producthunt! You've taken a simple, yet so necessary idea and turned it into a convenient and thoughtful app that will undoubtedly help many maintain those precious relationships. A cool feature suggestion could be incorporating personalized alerts or reminders based on the user's interaction history with each contact. Keep up the great work!
Congrats on launch! Awesome UI! Very clean and I love the widget! One note, not sure if intentional but after I tap check in, it turns orange and then back to normal state. Is that so you can check in multiple times a day if needed?
I love the simplicity of this app. It's a helpful one for busy people who have the intent to keep in touch, but socialising (which is very important) just slips off their mind.
My socialising game is kind of optimised right now. But I will purchase it if I see myself failing.
I love your idea! Indeed, reminders would help me to communicate more often with people who are far away from me. Do you plan to make a version for android?
This is one of the best looking apps I've ever seen!
- The UX/UI is just perfect.
- The idea is simple but useful.
- There's room for more features.
Keep going @cleerview 👍
Chris, that sounds amazing. Will there be an Android app too? Can't wait for taking care of my relationships more easily!

Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
