Hey Product Hunt — I'm Alex, I built Botscope.
I had used DigitalOcean for years and somehow never noticed that bandwidth is a separate meter. One month the traffic invoice was larger than the droplet. That bill landed right as the big labs started crawling the web at scale to train models. I was paying for someone else's training run and I could not see who.
So I built a control plane that names every request — human, verified crawler, scraper, or AI agent — with the decision and the reason. Observe first. Nothing is blocked until you say so.
Last week I dropped it on a site I had just launched. 22,871 requests in seven days. 90 of them were people. 0.4%. The rest was automated, and 43% was AI agents. I had not turned enforcement on yet, so nothing was stopped. I just finally saw the room.
That is when “dead internet” stopped being a meme and became a chart.
