Botscope

See every bot and AI agent. Then decide who gets in.

Botscope classifies every request as human, verified crawler, scraper, or AI agent — with the decision and the reason. See which models crawl you, which pages they cite, and which send people back. Observe first: nothing is blocked until you say so. Then allow, challenge, or block per agent. Verified search bots stay safe; robots.txt stays in sync. Start with a script tag. Enforce via WordPress, PHP agent, Cloudflare Worker, or DNS. Same panel. Free to 100,000 events a month, no card.

Hey Product Hunt — I'm Alex, I built Botscope. I had used DigitalOcean for years and somehow never noticed that bandwidth is a separate meter. One month the traffic invoice was larger than the droplet. That bill landed right as the big labs started crawling the web at scale to train models. I was paying for someone else's training run and I could not see who. So I built a control plane that names every request — human, verified crawler, scraper, or AI agent — with the decision and the reason. Observe first. Nothing is blocked until you say so. Last week I dropped it on a site I had just launched. 22,871 requests in seven days. 90 of them were people. 0.4%. The rest was automated, and 43% was AI agents. I had not turned enforcement on yet, so nothing was stopped. I just finally saw the room. That is when “dead internet” stopped being a meme and became a chart. If you run a site: start with a script tag, or enforce via WordPress, a PHP agent, a Cloudflare Worker, or DNS. Same panel. Free to 100,000 events a month, no card. I would love to know what % human you see — and what is missing.

Who hunted Botscope?

Botscope was hunted by Kate Ramakaieva. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
