Hey Product Hunt 👋 Saranya here, part of the BizDraft team. We built BizDraft because we wanted to make life easier for people who are stuck struggling with paperwork like small business owners and freelancers who don't have a lawyer on call. Here's the core of what we're doing: we don't provide generic templates that you then have to fine-tune with a lawyer. Instead, we generate a document tailored precisely to your specific business, and we do it quickly, taking state laws into account, so you don't have to deal with the legal details yourself. In about 90 seconds, you have a document that's entirely yours - free, fully editable, in whatever format you need. What it does, all in plain English: 📝 Draft: A tailored NDA, service agreement, contractor deal, or lease, built for your business in ~90 seconds 🔍 Explain: Know what an agreement says, what's risky, and what to check ✏️ Adjust: Change terms, add a clause, or remove one, in your own words On the drafting side specifically, a few things we cared about getting right: * Every clause you'd expect - payment terms, scope, IP ownership, confidentiality, termination, indemnity, dispute resolution - written for your situation, not pulled from a template. * Federal and state law, built in - every state has its own rules, and federal law applies on top. BizDraft knows both, and adjusts your agreement for the state you're working in. No manual lookup. * Yours to keep, in any format - save your document as Word or PDF, edit it later, send it for signature, print it. No lock-in, no watermark. * Who it's for: solo service providers, small agencies, freelancers, landlords, and any small business owner who deals with contracts regularly and can't justify a lawyer's fee every time. BizDraft is free to use, no card or registration needed. We'd love feedback more than anything else, especially if you're an SMB owner or freelancer who's been burned by a contract before. We'll be in the comments all day. Try it on a real contract sitting in your inbox and tell us what it got right or wrong.

Comment highlights

Contractor agreements with IP ownership are the ones I redo most often, so having state law applied at draft time rather than patched in afterwards is the useful part for me. The edge case I would hit on day one: a good chunk of the people I contract are outside the US. If I tell BizDraft the contractor is in Portugal, does it flag that as out of scope, or does it still hand me a US-state agreement with the governing law and IP assignment clauses quietly pointing at the wrong jurisdiction?

the "catch risks before signing" part is what I'd actually use this for, reading dense contracts is where I want AI help way more than the drafting side. does "risk" here cover clauses that are legal but just disadvantageous to you, like auto-renewal terms or broad indemnification, or is it scoped more narrowly to stuff that's outright unenforceable?

Tried this out today and was genuinely impressed. The drafting is strong, but the contract explanation feature really stood out. It breaks down dense legal language into something that's actually easy to understand, which is a huge benefit on its own. Looking forward to seeing how this product evolves.

As someone who runs their own business as a freelanser, I constantly deal with various contracts and agreements. I tried creating a contract in BizDraft, and after a few edits, I got a finished document ready to use.

What I liked most was the 'Explain' feature - since I don't have time to figure out all the laws myself, it saved me a lot of time.

As for improvement ideas - it would be nice to have the ability to send the contract directly by email. But overall the fact that it's free and I still own the doc outright (no weird licensing, can edit forever) is the main reason I'd recommend this to other freelancers

I've spent way too much time searching for contract templates and wondering whether they actually apply to my state. BizDraft made the process incredibly simple. The fact that it adjusts the agreement based on your situation instead of giving you a one-size-fits-all document is what stood out to me.

Given that this is a free-to-use application, I wasn't expecting much. But it exceeded my expectations as it's much more reliable than the previous sites I've used. The drafting is good, love seeing AI applied, BizDraft made our process incredibly simple.

As a freelancer, contracts are one of those things I know I should spend more time on, but never do. I tried BizDraft with one of my client agreements and was surprised how tailored it was. It asked the right questions, generated a solid draft in under two minutes, and I could edit everything afterward. Definitely beats starting from a generic template every time.

I wasn't expecting much because it's free, but this ended up being much better than the template sites I've used before. No signup, no credit card, and the draft actually reflected my answers instead of feeling generic. Nice work.

Honestly, I came in with low expectations — it's free, after all. But this blew past every paid template site I've tried. No account required, no hidden steps, and the output genuinely reflected what I put in. Well done.

Love it! I used it to onboard a new vendor to my agency. I am really impressed by the quality, drafting a valid agreement with my specific obligations and liabilities in mind. you just saved me a ton of time.
