Baseline started inside a hedge fund. Our analysts were conducting hours of qualitative work on business quality, moat, management, competitive dynamics, and then repeating for the next opportunity, with no consistent way to compare them. Chatbots help, but they only look at one stock at a time, and you're rebuilding the same analysis from scratch on every prompt.
So we built Baseline for ourselves to run prompt-optimised research across the entire market once, score every company on the same rubric, and make it instantly searchable. It changed how we worked as we could finally see how any business stacked up against thousands of others, and surface high-quality names we'd never have had time to find manually.
It worked well enough that we're now making it free for everyone. A few things that make it different:
