UnderLimit: PDF Compressor
Compress photos & PDFs to an exact file size
UnderLimit compresses photos and PDFs to the file size you actually need. Choose a target like 500 KB, 2 MB, or 5 MB instead of guessing between low, medium, or high compression. Files are processed directly on your device for privacy. Free to download, with free compressions included. Unlimited use is a one-time purchase — no subscription, no ads, and no account required.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built UnderLimit after repeatedly running into the same frustrating problem: a website or form would accept a file only if it was under a specific size.
Most compression tools make you choose a quality level, export the file, check the result, and try again if it is still too large.
I wanted something simpler: choose the maximum file size you actually need — 500 KB, 2 MB, 5 MB, or whatever the limit is — and let the app work toward that target.
I also wanted files to stay private, so photos and PDFs are processed directly on the device.
UnderLimit is deliberately focused on doing this one job simply.
I’d love to hear your feedback, especially about situations where file-size limits are a recurring frustration for you.
