Trail Plugin

wordpress, travel,

TrailKit is the first WordPress plugin purpose-built for adventure route websites. Before this, you had to glue together ACF, a map plugin, and a gallery plugin just to publish a single trail. Now you get interactive Leaflet maps (no API key needed), Route & POI custom post types, GPX import with elevation charts, a guide directory, and photo lightbox — all from native WP meta boxes. No page builder required.

I run an adventure travel website in Latin America and kept hitting the same wall: WordPress has nothing for outdoor route publishing. You could grab WP Google Maps for a pin, ACF for custom fields, a lightbox plugin for photos — but they don't talk to each other, and you're writing shortcode glue code on every single page. I wanted something that treated Routes, Points of Interest, and Guides as first-class content types — with an interactive map and elevation chart that just appear automatically when you publish. No Elementor, no blocks, no configuration gymnastics. So I built TrailPlugin. The Lite version is free (1 route, basic map). Pro adds GPX import, elevation charts, a photo lightbox, unlimited content, and multiple themes. Lifetime deal is available if subscriptions aren't your thing. Would love feedback from anyone building outdoor, tourism, or trail websites on WordPress — this was built to scratch my own itch and I'm curious if it scratches yours too.

Who hunted Trail Plugin?

Trail Plugin was hunted by Gabriel Arias. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
