If you're afraid of public speaking, you've probably rehearsed your speech 100 times in front of the mirror. When I prepared for my District International Speech Contest, I changed how I practiced. Instead of repeating my text over and over, I focused on short, 2-minute reps, daily for 2 months. It was incredible. Rep after rep, I stopped memorizing sentences and started thinking in structure. So even if I forgot a word or a line on stage, I knew where I was going next. Each rep was also a chance to try something new: a gesture, a pause, a shift in pace or tone. That's what built my confidence. I don't know if I won the contest only because of this. But I knew it was too powerful not to share. That's why I made ToastUp: Pick a topic. Speak for 2 minutes.
