Every food ranking I have ever used was voted on by people who were never there. That is the problem I wanted to fix.
The Best Tapa ranks tapas in Spain, city by city, and it has one rule that decides everything: you can only vote on a tapa while you are in that city. Anyone anywhere can add a tapa. Snap the photo, tag the bar, publish it. But the vote only counts if you showed up.
What that gives you:
- A ranking per city, built by people who actually ate the dish
- No paid placements, no promoted bars, no sponsored positions
- A reason to walk into a bar you would never have found otherwise
Spain gets close to 100 million visitors a year and most of them eat tapas off the same twenty lists. The good ones are in bars nobody has posted yet.
