SnapShelf
Find anything in your boxes without opening them
SnapShelf is an offline iPhone inventory for storage boxes, shelves, drawers and folders. Add photos, notes and optional QR labels, then search later to find the exact box without opening everything. No account required.
Hi Product Hunt,
I built SnapShelf after getting tired of opening the same storage boxes just to find one item.
Most box labels are too vague: "kitchen", "garage", "misc". SnapShelf turns each box into a searchable memory. You create a box, add photos of what is inside, optionally print a QR label, and later search for things like "passport", "ski boots", "Christmas lights" or "USB-C cable".
A few choices were important to me:
- no account required
- works offline
- photos and storage data stay on device by default
- free plan supports up to 20 boxes
- QR labels are optional, not required
I would love feedback on the positioning and onboarding. Is "inventory for boxes" clear enough, or would you describe this problem differently?

SnapShelf was hunted by Sergey Eskin. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
