Resume builder - templates tested on 4 real ATS
Every resume template claims to be "ATS-friendly". We actually checked - the same resume in 36 templates, imported into Zoho Recruit, Manatal, Workable and Textkernel - the OEM engine documented behind SAP SuccessFactors and iCIMS. Field-by-field results, the test corpus and the raw parser responses are published, including the five templates of ours that tripped a parser. The builder, up to 10 CVs and unwatermarked PDF export are free. No trial that turns into $39/month.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Every resume template on the internet says "ATS-friendly", and nobody shows what that means. It's a badge you print on a landing page. It costs nothing and proves nothing.
So we did the boring version. One resume — same person, same three jobs, same fifteen bullets — exported through all 36 of our templates, then imported into four production applicant tracking systems: Zoho Recruit, Manatal, Workable, and Textkernel (that last one isn't an ATS you'd recognise — it's the OEM parsing engine documented behind SAP SuccessFactors and iCIMS, so its behaviour is inherited by a lot of enterprise hiring stacks).
The content never changed. Only the layout did. What came out of it:
• The same word vanished depending on layout. Eight templates lost "React" from the parsed skill list on Zoho. Twenty-eight didn't. Identical text.
• The hard thing was easy and the easy thing broke. Textkernel pulled 10/10 job-critical skills from all 36 templates — then mis-segmented work history on five of them.
• "Never use two columns" is the wrong advice. The failure mode is text-stream order, not columns. Several of our two-column layouts scored perfectly; some one-column ones didn't.
We published all of it — per-template results, raw parser responses, CSVs and the PDF corpus — including the five templates of ours that tripped a parser. Rounding those off would have defeated the point.
What's free: the builder, up to 10 CVs, unwatermarked PDF export. No trial that turns into $39/month. AI extras (ATS check against a specific job, tailoring, cover letters) run on pay-as-you-go credits that never expire.

Who hunted Resumap?
Resumap was hunted by resumap.io. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
