Purge Modules
Trace and remove unwanted dev folders. Free & open source
A Command-Line utility made to helps developers trace, select and remove unwanted development folders on their system (node_modules, venv etc). Built using Go's (Golang) concurrency for speed and BubbleTea for the TUI.
Hi All! 👋
Creator of Purge Modules here (and also my first launch). Happy to share it with fellow developers
One fine day I was free-ing up space on my system and it occurred to me: I've worked on multiple projects during my software career (+ boad-load of side projects) which meant there were "venv" and "node_modules" folders scattered throughout my system
I went "What if" there was an application to list those folders out alongside the project folder, path and size of them all from the Command-Line. Then being able to selectively delete them.
The project came to be known as purge modules (Personally found atleast 7 GB of projects I wasn't actively working on). Supports folder and path flags as well. Currently supported for MacOS
Looking to connect with fellow developers and get feedback
Thanks!
