Personally
Business site for independent professionals
Personally helps consultants, Laravel developers, technical founders, and solo professionals turn expertise, CV, writing, portfolio, services, and lead capture into one owned platform.
I didn't set out to build a product — I set out to build my own personal site.
I wanted one place that was actually mine: a homepage, a blog, my portfolio, a proper CV, a newsletter, somewhere people could reach me. The problem was that every option made me compromise. The hosted builders looked nice, but I didn't own my code or my data, and the moment I wanted something custom, I hit a wall. Rolling my own from scratch meant rebuilding the same boring plumbing — auth, an admin panel, SEO, OG images, comments, email — before I could write a single post. And stitching together five different SaaS tools for blog + newsletter + portfolio + CV + contact felt like renting my own identity in pieces.
So I just started building the thing I actually wanted, for myself, live. A real admin panel instead of editing config files. Content types for the things I genuinely have — projects, talks, publications, experience, certifications — not a generic "page." Newsletter with double opt-in, comments with moderation, dark mode, SEO, and OG-image details that usually get skipped. I built it the way I'd want to maintain it: clean services, thin controllers, fully tested.
Somewhere along the way, I realized the only thing tying it to me was a handful of settings — name, logo, colors, fonts, copy. Everything else was just "a personal site for a developer/consultant/creator." So I pulled all of that into white-label settings you can change from the admin, and the thing I built for myself became something anyone with the same itch could run for themselves.
That's the whole idea behind Personally: productize yourself, and actually own the result — your code, your data, your stack. It started as my site. I made it configurable enough to be yours, too.
Happy to answer anything — especially curious what you'd want to put on your own.
