I built Package Inspector because I was tired of digging through package-lock.json or running a dozen different npm commands just to answer simple questions like "what's actually installed here," "is anything outdated," or "why do I have two versions of this package."
It's a native Mac app (SwiftUI, no Electron — the whole thing is a few MB) that points at any npm/yarn/pnpm project and gives you:
