Hey PH! 👋 I'm the maker of KRecipes.
The idea came from a frustrating personal experience — I'd find an amazing Korean cooking video on YouTube, but the recipe would be buried in Korean-language comments or a messy video description, with no ingredient amounts and no way to jump to a specific step.
So I built KRecipes: paste any Korean cooking YouTube URL, and the app uses AI to extract a fully structured recipe in seconds — ingredients with substitutes for hard-to-find items (like gochujang or doenjang), scaled servings, and timestamps so you can jump directly to any cooking step.
A few things I'm especially proud of:
Honest substitutes — it doesn't just say "skip it," it tells you what actually works
Serving scaler — drag to double or halve, all quantities update live
Jump-to-step — click a step, the video seeks to that exact moment
No fabrication — if the video isn't a recipe (mukbang, food vlog, etc.), the app says so instead of making something up
The app is free to use. You can save recipes to your account and share them directly.
