Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built ImgZilla because I was tired of two things: uploading images to some web compressor and hoping they weren't quietly storing them somewhere, and using "save as compressed" tools that leave me with a folder full of image-min.jpg duplicates I then have to go rename everywhere. ImgZilla compresses in place — same file, same path, same name — and never sends your images anywhere. It's fully sandboxed and only touches files you explicitly select or drag in. A couple of details that didn't fit in the description: It's macOS 12.3+ only for now — no Windows, iOS, Android, or web version. Free tier is 10 images/day, resets daily. One-time purchase or subscription removes the limit. Originals aren't deleted — they move to the Trash by default, so you can always put one back if you change your mind. A few things I'd love feedback on: Does the "no quality slider, just tuned defaults" approach make sense to you, or do you want manual control? If you're on a small-SSD Mac, does "one-time compression vs. recurring cleanup" resonate as a reason to try this over a junk cleaner? If you're not on macOS — would a Windows, iOS, Android, or web version be useful to you? No promises on timeline, but it'd genuinely help me prioritize what to build next.
