I built DropTunnel after getting frustrated with the friction of moving files and text between devices (particularly in small regular quantities on laptops with certain connection/software restrictions). Most existing solutions require uploading files to a server, creating an account, generating a sharing link (and getting that to the other PC), or installing software. I wanted something that worked more like opening a temporary encrypted tunnel between two browsers so I can just 'Drop' the files or text into the 'Tunnel'.
