Docvera
Case management built for Canadian immigration consultants
Managing immigration cases on spreadsheets and WhatsApp threads is how most Canadian immigration consultants (RCICs) operate today. Missed deadlines, lost documents, and manual client follow-ups are costing them time and putting their clients' applications at risk. Docvera is a purpose-built, bilingual (EN/FR) case and document management platform designed specifically for Canadian RCICs.
Hey Product Hunt.
I am a 4th year software engineering student at Carleton University in Ottawa. I built Docvera.
I started noticing something when I looked into the Canadian immigration consulting space. These are regulated professionals, RCICs, handling some of the most consequential paperwork in their clients' lives. Permanent residency applications. Work permits. Family sponsorships. And most of them are tracking it all in Excel.
The incumbent software has been around since 1999. It is English only in a country with two official languages. The UI looks like it. The price is $69 a month.
I spent months talking to consultants, pitching to immigration associations, and sitting in rooms with people who have been in this industry longer than I have been alive. I heard the same things repeatedly. The intake process is manual. Checklist templates do not exist for specific programs. Clients go quiet and nobody follows up automatically.
So I built those things. Digital intake forms that create cases on submission. Program-specific checklist templates. Automatic client nudges when documents are missing. A Monday digest so nothing falls through. A bilingual interface because Quebec exists.
I built this alone. No co-founder. No funding. I am still in school.
It is live. It is being used. I am looking for feedback and for anyone who knows an RCIC who is tired of managing cases on a spreadsheet.
Happy to answer anything.
