Hey folks, I built a little web app called SwimTemp for checking real sea temperatures before booking a beach trip. My friend and I love water sports, and we always wanted to know if the ocean would actually be warm enough before committing to a vacation. Weather apps kept showing the wrong thing as they basically measure air temperature inland, not the actual sea. So I built something that uses real satellite data instead. This is the first hobby project I have ever taken all the way to production (work projects definitely don't count 😄). That's also why I just registered on Reddit....wanted to share it with people who might actually find it useful. Okay I know it sounds silly, but I kind of feel like I am introducing my ugly and also cutest puppy to everyone I bump on the street... Anyway, it is completely free, no signup needed.
