cctimer is a lightweight macOS menu bar app that shows your Claude Code 5-hour and weekly rate limit reset timers. I built cctimer because I kept losing track of Claude Code rate limit reset times while working across multiple terminals and apps.
It’s a small macOS menu bar app for Claude Code users.
What it does:
Shows the 5-hour reset countdown in the menu bar
Shows both 5-hour and weekly usage in the popover
Advance notification of limit reset
Keeps the timer visible outside the terminal
Works locally by integrating with Claude Code’s status line
Can be installed via GitHub release or Homebrew
Install:
