Hi everyone! I'm Dorian, the founder of BoxLite. AI agents need a place to execute code, install packages, and work with files. BoxLite gives them a microVM that you can embed directly in your application. Each box has its own Linux kernel. You can run existing Docker/OCI images, keep files and installed packages across restarts, and control network access. The runtime runs locally without a background daemon or a cloud account. Get started with pip install boxlite, or use the Node.js, Go, Rust, or C SDK. There is also a CLI and a REST server. Supported hosts include Apple Silicon Macs, Linux, and Windows through WSL2 with KVM support. The project is free and open source under Apache 2.0: https://github.com/boxlite-ai/bo... I'd love to hear what you're building and what you need from an agent sandbox. Questions, feedback, and contributions are welcome!
