Hi. I work on the growth side at AbraTax. The thing that kept bugging us: Making Tax Digital keeps pushing people off the tool they actually want to use - a spreadsheet. HMRC already mandates digital filing for VAT, and it's now rolling out to Income Tax too, with Self Assessment folded into the same digital regime. But loads of sole traders, businesses, and accountants still run their books in Excel and really don't want to rip that up just to satisfy a compliance rule. So rather than build yet another full accounting platform and ask everyone to migrate, we built a bridge.
