Listen to carefully curated human recitations of Persian poetry while following the original Persian text and faithful English translations, verse by verse.
A translation tells you what Rumi says. A Persian recitation lets you feel the rhythm that makes his poetry come alive.
For English-speaking readers, the two are rarely found together. A recitation may sit on a Persian-language website, while the translation is buried in a separate PDF. The pieces exist. The experience does not.
I'm Hassaan, founder of ZindeRood. As a beginner Persian student, I experienced this problem myself. I kept moving between Persian websites, recordings, and English PDFs, trying to match the same verse across all three.
That frustration led me to build ZindeRood, a calm place where the original Persian text, a carefully curated human recitation, and a faithful English translation come together, verse by verse.
On ZindeRood, you can:
Explore poets including Rumi, Hafez, Saadi, Iqbal, Attar, Bedil, and more.
Listen to human recitations, primarily by native Persian speakers, while following each verse in Persian and English.
Discover poetic forms, metres, reciters, and translators.
We have also been fortunate to collaborate with Ganjoor, the trusted open platform for Persian poetry, as we work to preserve and improve access to this shared literary heritage.
ZindeRood is not another fast-moving feed. It is a place to slow down and experience each poem as a complete work: its original words, its meaning, its rhythm, and its living human voice.
We would love your feedback. Does hearing the rhythm while following the original text and translation change how you experience a poem? Which Persian poet would you listen to first?
Thank you for joining us at the beginning of this journey.

ZindeRood was hunted by Hassaan Sadiq. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
