This goes back to much earlier days of twitch, when there wasn't nearly as much functionality and other bots out there as there are now! I originally wrote the bot just for myself to replace some of the functionality that deepbot offered that I couldn't afford the subscription for at the time. Since then I've continued to work on it adding new functionality, scaling up to multiple users instead of a homebrew local app. Nowadays the functionality I've got included - 1. In depth analytics past even what twitch or any other platform provides for insight into your channel (including audio/speech analysis), 2. Engagement tools like minigames (Hangman, Trivia, Russian Roulette, and 8-Ball), join messages, and leaderboards for your viewers, 3. Sound and Text Commands - both timed and event based with variable support, 4. Viewer queue system so you can have viewers queue up to play games with you, managed both from the website and through chat, 5. Quotes system to remember goofy things said in the past (and post them to the chat), 6. Moderation system - custom filters, cross-channel ban sharing (auto-handles viewers banned in other channels), and similarity-based spam detection, 7. Achievements for viewers to work towards - fully customizable as well, 8. Viewer dashboard so viewers can easily see their own stats, watch your stream, and manage their settings, 9. OBS overlay for games, leaderboards, etc., 10. Last but definitely not least - the streamer discovery page to find other streamers on the bot, filterable by games, features, and activity!
